Farm Bill Update From NYFC

Our policy team is hearing a lot of talk on Capitol Hill that the House Agriculture Committee will introduce a first draft of the long-awaited Farm Bill in mid-May. We had a quick chat with Vanessa García Polanco, our Government Relations Director, this week to hear the latest on Farm Bill progress. Listen in to learn more about how to engage in advocacy to ensure that the final draft of the bill includes our top priorities, like equitable land access, climate action, farmer-to-farmer education, and more.

We have three live marker bills that you can ask your members of Congress to include in the final draft of the Farm Bill: 1) Increasing Land Access, Security, and Opportunities Act, 2) Small Farm Conservation Act, and 3) Farmer-to-Farmer Education Act. Take action today to support all three bills on our Action Hub.

And make sure that you are signed up for our Farm Bill Action Network (and opt in to receive texts!) so that we can keep you in the loop on Farm Bill progress and how you can support our priorities every step of the way.
