Film Screening: “SEEDS”
Sunday Film Screening: SEEDS
We’re honored to close this year’s Summit with SEEDS, the acclaimed documentary weaving together the stories of three Black generational farmers. Through intimate scenes of daily farm life, the film illuminates both the joy of working the land and the systemic inequities that have led to the devastating loss of Black farmland over the past century.
Winner of major awards at Sundance, Full Frame, SIFF, and more, SEEDS is a deeply moving exploration of heritage, resilience, and the urgent need to protect land, legacy, and community. Join us on Sunday, Dec. 7, for this powerful closing experience.
Farm Tour: Trevecca Urban Farm
In the middle of Nashville, there’s a farm that feels like a small ecosystem of its own — a place where students learn to care for the land, animals roam freely, and nothing goes to waste.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, we’re touring Trevecca Urban Farm, a model of what sustainable urban agriculture can look like.
Here, heritage-breed pigs wallow under open sky. Chickens and ducks forage across the grounds. Students learn regenerative growing practices that shape their careers — and their understanding of justice, community, and environmental care.
Every jar, bottle, egg carton, and paper bag has a purpose — reused, composted, or returned to the soil.
Every harvest is shared — with neighbors, animals, or the compost pile, so nothing is wasted.
Join us to see what’s possible when a campus commits to sustainable land stewardship.
The Farm Tour is included with a full conference pass. A Sunday-only day pass is also available.
