Join us for the third webinar in our five-part series highlighting the intersection of food, agriculture, and public health. In this webinar, we will explore the unique mental health challenges facing agricultural workers and farming communities. Participants will gain a better understanding of the common stressors affecting those in agriculture, learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression, and examine the barriers and stigma that can prevent individuals from seeking support.
The session will also highlight state and national mental health resources available to agricultural workers and discuss practical strategies for reducing stigma and encouraging help-seeking within farming communities.
Panelists will include:
Emily A. Paskewitz, Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development at The University of Tennessee
Chaney Mosley, PhD., Associate Professor, Agricultural Education, Middle Tennessee State University
Andy Lawrence, LPC-MHSP, Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services
