Tennessee landowners interested in learning more about how to generate farm income with land they already own are invited to expand their knowledge and skills while participating in a new webinar series offered by the UT Center for Profitable Agriculture. The series, Farming Where You Live, will cover a variety of educational topics relevant to Tennessee landowners. The program especially targets small-acreage landowners, beginning farmers, and timber or forest landowners in Tennessee. However, all interested individuals are encouraged to attend.
Presenters providing educational sessions for the initial round of webinars include:
Kim Morgan, associate professor – UT Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics
Annette Wszelaki, professor and commercial vegetable Extension specialist – UT Department of Plant Sciences
Annie Vogel, assistant professor and commercial fruit Extension specialist – UT Department of Plant Sciences
Stephen Peairs, assistant professor and silviculture Extension specialist – UT School of Natural Resources
Chris Graves, Extension forestry and wildlife specialist – UT School of Natural Resources
“Knowing that many of our Tennessee landowners are seeking opportunities to generate farm income on property they already own, this webinar series aims to provide free educational sessions that will help generate new insight or ideas into utilizing existing farm or forest land to its fullest potential,” explains Alaina Boyd, series coordinator and Extension specialist for the Center for Profitable Agriculture.
