    Lessons Learned: Building a Residential Food Scraps Pickup Program

    Jenn Harrman is the Zero Waste Program Manager for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and develops programs and policies to help the city find more sustainable and resilient solutions to managing waste. She has been a dedicated public servant since 2016, before which she worked for several non-profits managing communications, outreach, and advocacy to teach the public about the importance of our built environment and its resources. Since joining Nashville’s Zero Waste team, Jenn has focused on improving Nashville’s recycling program, expanding composting collection, and advancing efforts to reduce construction and demolition waste citywide with the goal to reduce the city’s reliance on landfilling and encourage residents to find ways to reduce waste.
