Introducing Conference Care by OUTINGS at the 2025 TN Local Food Summit!

We’re excited to offer Conference Care by OUTINGS — a wonderful, free childcare service to help parents fully participate in the Summit, knowing their children are engaged in fun, creative activities.

We hope this option will make attending the Summit even more accessible for families. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

DETAILS

  • Open to children ages 3 and older

  • Supervised by experienced teachers (ratio dependent on age and # of children)

  • Pre-registration required: Must complete a basic registration form (including emergency info/allergies) and a liability and photo release waiver.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY SCHEDULE

  • Morning Session (8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

    • Includes activities, games, play, and snacks!

  • Lunch Break (12:00 PM to 1:00 PM)

    • Parents will pick their children up for lunch.

  • Afternoon Session (1:00 PM to 5:00 PM)

    • Includes rest & quiet activities, storytime, and snacks!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Children will participate in a variety of activities inspired by Waldorf and Montessori philosophies, incorporating open-ended play, nature-based materials, and creative exploration. During meal times, children will join their families, but appropriate snacks will be provided during childcare.

ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Flower bouquet making (flowers/herbs from a local farm)

  • Seed sorting and nature-based art projects

  • Origami boats, rock painting, wand making, and knot tying

  • Storytelling, puppetry, yoga, and more!
