Since 2015, Jesse has owned and managed Athena's Harvest Farm, a small, diversified fruit and vegetable farm in Santa Fe, TN. Born and raised in Middle Tennessee, Jesse worked on organic farms during and after college, and later did a stint as an agricultural extension agent in the Peace Corps in Gabon, worked as a trainer for beginning farmers in Guinea, and eventually got a master's degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Vermont. A teaching farm by design, Athena's Harvest trains 4-7 full-season interns per year, hosts school groups, ag workshops, and community gatherings, and sells vegetables to farmers' markets, CSA customers, and restaurants in Nashville and Columbia, TN.
