Brittney Shelby Sessoms is a cultural strategist, certified farmer, educator, and founder of Charlotte & Pickens LLC and the Center for Black Southern Culture. Her work connects Black Southern knowledge, foodways, agriculture, storytelling, public health, environmental stewardship, and community engagement through markets, workshops, cooking demos, cultural programming, and food justice initiatives in Memphis. She is a 2025 Echoing Green Fellow and 2024 Voqal fellow building community-rooted systems that position ancestral food and ecological knowledge as contemporary social innovation.
