WORKSHOP: Compost For Beginners

Nashville Food Project is sponsoring this interactive and participatory workshop. Learn how to turn garden and kitchen scraps into compost to feed your soil and reduce waste. We’ll explore how composting works, what materials to use (and avoid), and how to care for a shared compost system. You’ll also get an introduction to vermicomposting—composting with worms—as a great option for small or indoor spaces. This workshop is ideal for beginner composters and community gardeners. Materials and take-home guides will be provided. Language interpretation support also available.
