Femeika started her health foods brand Meik Meals in 2019 and continued to pivot in the entrepreneurial scene to address major health crises within the black community, prioritizing maternal health, postpartum recovery, medical, and food apartheid. Femeika is a community organizer and founder of the Rooted East Knoxville Collective--a food and land justice community-based organization addressing food apartheid in East Knoxville.
She founded the Lotus Program Experience in 2022β a holistic womenβs wellness & maternal health practice, later curating the 3rd Annual Knoxville Black Maternal Health Conference as she championed the passing of maternal health legislation SB1832/HB2226 in the TN State Legislature in April 2024.
