The Farmers Land Trust is using the innovative Farmland Commons model across the country to address farmland protection, access, transition, ownership, and tenure, while placing the power and control of land into the local community for regenerative food production agriculture. Hear from the incredible community leaders of Knoxville, TN, who are making this work happen by co-creating the East Tennessee Community, Housing, & Farmland Commons, which integrates both rural and urban lands, and also places an emphasis on housing in addition to sustainable agriculture for food sovereignty and justice for a community living within food apartheid. In this engaging and dynamic session, you will learn, be inspired, and gain the tools necessary to support your community in utilizing this creative and justice-forward model so that you, too, can be part of transforming community connection to land and food.
