Efforts to Define Regenerative Agriculture Continue

A literature review led by University of Reading scientist Dr. Nicholas Bardsley proposes a working definition of regenerative agriculture centered on ecological cycles and farm system outcomes. Bardsley suggests that regenerative agriculture is farming geared towards working with and enhancing natural nutrient, carbon, and hydrological cycles for agricultural benefit. The review maintains that regenerative agriculture is not a set of technical tweaks, but a new paradigm grounded in systems thinking and ecological reciprocity.
