Ariel Allen, United Way of Greater Knoxville, Torri Boggs, Real Good Kitchen Foundation, Nolan Sherrill, Food Business Owner
How can we strengthen our local food system by expanding access to healthy food and capital? In this session, United Way of Greater Knoxville and Real Good Kitchen Foundation will share key findings from a recent Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI) assessment and explore what it means for producers, food enterprises, food retail, and communities who need and deserve access to healthier food options now more than ever. Participants will engage in dialogue, make valuable connections across the food value chain, and help shape inclusive, community-informed programming to help build the Knox Good Food Fund, launching in 2027. This workshop invites changemakers to collaborate on building a more equitable and resilient food system that sees a thriving food chain for producers, aggregators, distributors, processors, food retailers, and consumers.
