Community Foundation Renews TN Local Food's JumpStart Grant
TN Local Food is excited to announce the renewal of its JumpStart Grant from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT), which has awarded the organization $4,000 to continue its mission of supporting small and mid-sized farmers and food advocates across Tennessee. The grant will allow TN Local Food to continue offering workshops, networking activities, and enhanced access to vital information and resources.
Tennessee New Farmer Academy
DEADLINE: Friday, February 28th - The Tennessee New Farmer Academy is a seven-month certificate program designed for those with an interest in becoming agricultural entrepreneurs.
JOIN: 1000 Farms Initiative - A Study of Soil Health
The 1000 Farms Initiative generates full site inventories in various stages of regenerative adoption. They are analyzing key factors to show producers the health of their land, how their land compares with others, and how to incorporate regenerative methods into their agricultural production.
APPLY: Climate Beneficial Fiber Partnership
The program prioritizes equity by engaging traditionally underserved producers and meeting the growing demand for climate-smart textiles. It's still possible for cotton producers in Tennessee to apply.
